Snaps anti-aliased edges to a 16×16px grid. Eliminates AI fuzziness.
WHAT IS PERFECT PIXEL?
Perfect Pixel is an optimization tool designed to clean and restore 2D pixel art assets. It eliminates unwanted anti-aliasing, stray semi-transparent pixels, and color bleeding that often occur during image scaling, rotation, or exporting. This ensures your sprites maintain crisp, sharp edges and strict color palettes for a flawless retro aesthetic in your game engine.
How it Works
Upload Image:
Drag and drop your asset or click the upload zone (100% secure client-side processing).
Adjust Parameters:
Tweak the settings in the side panel to clean up and sharp your sprite artifacts.
Interactive Inspection:
Use the view-switch toggle (Original/Refined), scroll to zoom up to 64x, and click-and-drag to pan around the canvas.
Download:
Export your clean sprite with perfect transparency directly as a PNG.
Settings Guide:
Pixel Density:
Forces anti-aliased or blurry edges to snap into a rigid grid (from 1px to 64px) to easily eliminate the typical "fuzziness" left behind by AI image generators.
Alpha Threshold:
Dictates the opacity cutoff limit (from 0 to 255) to determine whether semi-transparent pixels should become fully opaque or completely invisible.
Snap Alpha Channel:
Applies the grid snapping system directly onto transparent boundaries to ensure pixel-perfect sharp borders.
Color Smoothing:
Analyzes neighboring pixels within a custom radius (up to 5px) to merge color clusters, cleaning up compression noise.
Edge Sharpening:
Runs a custom sharpening convolution matrix to pop and define outlines, adjustable from Level 0 (None) up to Level 10 (Ultra High).
Palette Reduction:
Maps and restricts the final sprite output to specific commercial or retro indexed color palettes, or preserves the original layout intact.
